For this label, Andrew Faulkner sought to capture a dreamy atmosphere through layered color and light. Much of Andrew Faulkner’s work is inspired by walks taken with a spouse, a naturalist, through the varied landscapes of Northern California. During these outings, Andrew often uses a phone camera to record fleeting visual impressions, documenting changing light, color relationships, and memorable moments to revisit later in the studio.
For this particular piece, Andrew was especially inspired by the way golden hour transforms the Sonoma hills into a rich tapestry of color. The goal was to create an image that evokes the warmth and character of the landscape in much the same way a fine wine captures the essence of its place. As a tribute to the long-standing Imagery label tradition, Andrew incorporated the winery’s iconic Greek temple façade, quietly nestled within the distant treeline. This subtle historical reference is balanced by a contemporary palette, creating a connection between the winery’s heritage and its forward-looking spirit.
