About the Process

Carl Palazzolo has developed a long-standing painting practice centered on themes of memory, loss, longing, and desire. His works evolve slowly through layered processes, combining subtle color fields, freehand brushstrokes, and graphic numeral forms. Following the death of his close friend, painter Stephen Mueller in 2011, Palazzolo’s work became more personal, serving as expressions of tribute, love, and remembrance.
