About the Process

Youdelman’s work is rooted in feminist art practices, often exploring themes of identity, gender, and social structures. Her process reflects collaboration, experimentation, and a commitment to art as a vehicle for cultural dialogue.

About the Artist

Nancy Youdelman has exhibited her work since 1971 and was part of the first feminist art class led by Judy Chicago at California State University, Fresno. She continued in the Feminist Art Program at California Institute of the Arts, contributing to the landmark project Womanhouse. She earned her BFA from CalArts and an MFA in sculpture from University of California, Los Angeles.

Youdelman has had a diverse career as an artist, educator, and collaborator, including work with the The Rolling Stones and as a founding member of feminist collectives. Her work is held in major collections such as the Museum of Modern Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
